Smoothflash is designed to run
with Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, or
Windows XP operating system. The program is designed
to operate best on a 15" or larger monitor
with the display settings of Small Fonts (Windows
Default), High Color (16 bit) or higher, and a
screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Follow the
instructions in your Windows manual to check and/or
change these settings.
Can Smoothflash
be run on a Macintosh/Apple Computer?
Yes, Smoothflash can be run on a Mac.
Can Smoothflash
be run on windows server?
Yes, Smoothflash can be run on windows server.
Linux server is more sutiable.
Can I change my
smoothflash site URL into my favorite URL address?
Yes. Create index.html with 'refresh' code to
transfer to your smoothflash site. Upload the
index.html file to your favorite URL, and the
index.html will direct users to your smoothflash
site.
You need to put this code between <head>and
</head>tag in index.html of your favorite
website.

Is there a limit
to file type of images?
Yes. JPEG is suitable for Smoothflash. Not GIF,
not Progressive JPEG.
Is there a limit
to the size and resolution of the images in Smoothflash?
No. You may upload any size of images, but the
desirable image size is
Smoothflash V.1:Max image size is 590W, 360H(pixel)
Smoothflash 640: Max image size is 640W, 640H(pixel)
These sizes are perfect for the flash interface.
How can I upload
images to Smoothflash?
You can upload images on your website. Visit
your Smoothflash page and log in with your username
and password. Click "Gallery Setting"
in the left menu, and go to "Add Image".
Choose your favorite image and category, and click
"Submit" button.
How can I bulk
loading images?
You can upload images faster. Connect FTP server,
and upload image files into 'upload' folder.
Go to management page(smoothflash back-end) and
go to 'Add image'.
At 'upload image', and select images through 'Select
Server File' drop down.
How can I change
the order of the images?
Go to the category page (back-end) which you
want to edit, and you will see the thumnails.
You will find small triangles next to 'edit-delete'.
Click the triangle, and you can change the order
as the triangle points.
If you clike the blue one, the image will move
to right.
The red one will make the image move to left.
Is it possible
to switch off the image random in the first page

and chose by mysef witch image I want to show?
Yes, it's possible.
Go to Site Contents>Home Page>(Management
Page)
Choose your favorite image from "Rotate Image"
in the scroll menu.
Check OFF "Rotate All Images", and the
selected image will be shown everytime.
If I get V.1 or
640 version first, can I upgrade it to PRO version?
We are sorry but we do not support upgrade service
now. If you are interested in functions of PRO,
we recommend you to get PRO. Of course it is possible
to buy PRO version after V.1 or 640, but you will
have to create another site. You can not overwrite
the present site into upgraded version.
If I puy PRO after
V1 or 640, can I get discount?
Yes. The regular price of PRO version is $249.00,
but if you like to buy PRO after V1 or 640, we
will offer you a special proce, $121.00. This
is very reasonable.

My flash site takes
long to load images.
Speed of loading images is not adjustable. It
depends on your server and connect line.
Can I get off or
add new pages such as " Home" "About"
"Service" Gallery" etc? (Only PRO
version)
Yes, Go to Site Contents(menu on the left of edit
page)> Content Page>Edit> Status, and choose
"Off" (hide from public). To add a new
page, type category name and click "Submit".
Can
I change copyright,
email etc at the bottom?
Yes. Go to Site Setting> Profile Setting.
You can change email address and copyright.
You may not be able to get rid of "Powered
by Smoothflash" unless you purchase flash
code.
Can I make links
from a flash page?
Yes, Go to Category Setting > Category Mgmt
> Edit > Optional URL.
Type a absolute pass, URL ( ex. http://www.smoothflash.com
), or relative pass (ex. example.html).
You need to upload the file if you make relative
links.
Can I add images
to back-end pages, such as Home, About, FAQ and
so on? (Only Pro version)
Yes, go to a page which you want to edit. Click
"Edit" button at the right corner, and
editing tools will show up. Click where you want
to add images, and click the "insert/Edit
Image" button. Image Properties popup will
show up. You may type URL of the image, or you
may upload the image from your local.
To edit "Home", click "Site Contents"
> "Home page" on the left menu. You
may add images in the same way as other pages.
Where can I insert
meta tag?
You can not insert meta tag from back-end page (management
page), but the best way to insert meta tag to your
smoothflash website is modifying index.html. You
can find it in you FTP server.
